The Inside Problem
Slowly over the past 20 to 30 years, our children are spending more time indoors. Childhood obesity, attention deficit disorder, impaired social skills and even what some are calling a “culture of depression” has become a national epidemic. As children are increasingly indoors and interacting more with electronic devices than nature, studies have shown that their lives have become out of balance and leading to a nature deficit disorder. Without experiencing life outside, will future generations know the need to preserve and conserve our natural resources?
Think Outside. To Benefit Your Business and Texans
Texas Parks and Wildlife is beginning a major statewide initiative to reverse this trend. Toyota has signed on as the first sponsor. We are seeking other marketing partners to get children and families back into nature through Life’s better outside® promotions.
